BRONZE & SILVER KAFTAN PAIR

Made from a deconstructed Fukuro Obi’s, the left features a black and red silk woven brocade with Dahlias. The japanese have a language of flowers which is called Hanakotoba. In this language Dahlias sometimes fickleness or instability alongside elegance, dignity and grace.

The right features a golden and silver Sakura cherry blossoms on a bronze silk base. Sakura embodies mono no aware—a poignant, gentle awareness of the beauty and brevity of life in Hanakotoba.
