GERBERA DRESS

Made from a deconstructed Maru Obi, this woven brocade features a gold leaf and Gerbera motif in subtle tones of light pink and orange.

The structured Maru Obi is paired with a lightweight Italian cotton voile, gathered at the hems into ruffles. The soft, fluid movement of the voile creates a striking contrast against the richness and rigidity of the woven Obi, bringing a sense of expression, movement, and lightness to the piece.

Hanakotoba translates directly to “flower words” which is the Japanese language of flowers. In Hanakotoba, the Gerbera represents optimism, hope, and moving forward, making this piece a meaningful expression of resilience, and new beginnings.
