RUFFLE SHIBORI KAFTAN

Shibori is a traditional Japanese resist-dyeing technique that involves twisting, folding and clamping the fabric strategically, effectively blocking the fabric from absorbing dyes to create intricate patterns. There are three different bolts of Shibori fabrics used in this Kaftan, each one with different colors and motifs using the Kanoko method where each individual section is tied using thread by hand, creating not only pattern but also texture.

The Kaftan features a high neckline in front and a swooping open back that is tied with two tassels. The three separate silk Shibori Bolts, pink, black and a shaded burgundy.
